Our reception staff cannot interpret test results as they are not clinically trained.
Please note that the practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection and we will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.
When you take your test you will be told how long it will be before the results are returned to the practice.
It is your responsibility to check your results and to make an appointment to discuss them with the doctor if you are advised to do so.
These tests are requested for a reason; in the case that you see the GP regarding a problem which requires tests of some description eg. blood tests, X-rays, please come back to see the GP for the results if asked to return for review.
If you sign up to Patient On-line you are able to view results via that service but it does not override your GP’s request to return for review.
